Cris Miró (Ella)

A drag cabaret performer by night and dentistry student by day, Cris tries to balance her two careers. Adding to her troubles is her conservative mother.

At odds with her mother, Cris makes her debut in the magazine and causes a sensation. As she experiences a unique love with a former male escort and aspiring actor, the jealousy of first starlet jeopardizes Cris's permanence in the show.

Cris follows Marito's plan for her career, which includes pretending to be single. After appearing in a popular talk show, she is contacted by a woman sharing her struggle with being trans.

The death of Cris' father leaves her without her biggest champion and leads to a nasty confrontation with her mother. Professionally, the streak of her successes continues.

Enjoying a successful season, Cris has to consider whether getting a breast augmentation operation would be a good move. As she celebrates New Year with her friends and family, she learns that her boyfriend has plans of his own.

Cris is at a hospital with journalists surrounding the building. The official line is that she's fighting pneumonia, as she knows that revealing the truth - she has HIV - would destroy her career.

Her health failing and her spirits down, Cris decides to forget all of her troubles for one night and go out in celebration of the repeal of anti-crossdressing laws.

Aware that she doesn't have much time left and unwilling to let the public watch her wither and die, Cris organizes one last show to celebrate her life and career.
